AMFEMS and St. Matthews FD units respond to residential fire
Two adult occupants displaced

East Louisville, KY (October 24, 2025) – Today around shortly before 8 p.m., units from Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS and St. Matthews FD responded to a residential structure fire on the 3100 block of Stonebridge Road, off Westport Rd. near Tom Sawyer Park.

First units arrived within five minutes and found a working fire on a two-story, single-family dwelling with fire coming through the roof in the center portion of the home. Crews quickly deployed a large caliber hose line to knock down the main body of fire, they then made entry and conducted an interior fire attack, containing the fire to the structure of origin.

Two adult occupants had exited the structure prior to crews’ arrival, suffering no injuries. The home sustained extensive fire damage, the residents will be temporarily staying with neighbors.

No injuries to fire personnel were reported. It took 30 firefighters 48 minutes to fully control the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
